Gases are used to prevent spoilage of packaged products in the food and beverage industry and thus maintain freshness for a long time.

Special gas mixtures are often used to achieve the desired effect (such as Nitrogen and carbon dioxide mixtures).

Such gases, which are capable of forming a modified atmosphere (MAP), are introduced into the food packaging under pressure by special machines during the packaging process.

With the VA 520 Flow sensor, it is possible to reliably measure and monitor the flow of the most common gases and gas combinations used in this process. The system is compatible with system diameters from ¼" to DN 80.
