Dew point measurement in PET bottle production
A pressure of 35 to 40 bar is required for the production of PET bottles on stretch blow-moulding machines. At the same time, care must be taken during the process to ensure that the Pressure dew point in the Compressed air does not exceed certain limits. Due to the higher compression up to 40 bar, the Compressed air has a higher water content than lower compressed air. For this reason, greater attention must be paid to compressed air drying and Dew point monitoring. Excessive residual moisture in the compressed air leads to production rejects.
